i need to know if this is the same flash mill that waston once owned by my family the warburton’s. thank you
I worked at Flash Street Mills in the early 1980’s for a clothing manufacturing company called Great Moor Fashions. They made ladies blouses for many of the leading catalogue companies. I was a designer and pattern maker there.
Geraldine, I remember that place and other shops and other businesses around there. When I was aged 17 in 1979, when I started drinking in pubs on Daubhill, I used go to the Indian Restaurant called the Bombay.
Geraldine, my mum Edna worked in the office at GMF for years. She mentioned you a lot, and for years all my blouses were your samples! I worked as a packer and presser, then in the office for a few weeks one summer.
