remember the chimeny coming down in the 1970s as a school kid my father was a winding operator there then in 1975 until its closure i myself worked on the plough faces at this very freindly family pit i stayed at the colliery for the salvage job in 1981 then tranfered up the road to ashington colliery. i love this photo as the times i spent at woodhorn will live in my memory forever
