I am convinced that this is School Hill in the same location as Three Smart Girls, but from the opposite direction and at a different time. If my theory is correct, the gable end with the adverts is Bangor Street, the men are walking on School Hill and Duke St North is in the background. Pleasant St would be behind the photographer.
I believe three Smart Girls to be from the opposite side of Duke St North, but later than this, with advertising hoardings having been erected along the edge of the waste land where the closer of the men is.
