Spectators watch a church procession pass through the Churchgate area at the bottom of Silverwell Street. At the back of the photograph are the Grand Theatre and Bolton Church of England Preparatory School for Girls.

The Youth Group in uniform was the Church Lads Brigade and junior member where the Junior Training Corp, there was also the Church Girls Brigade, still going today but as one group, both my parents were members my Dad was at St Georges and my Mum was at St Johns that how they met,
