Description
Humphrey Spender described Tom Harrisson’s enthusiasm for religious rituals: “Tom Harrisson went potty about a religious sect, which has a baptismal celebration involving total immersion in a tank built in the floor: he was mad keen to get photographs of total immersion, he thought it was hilarious.”
We do not whether this church is in Blackpool or Bolton. If you can help us to identify it then please leave a comment below.
I truly believe it is St Georges Church at the corner of School Hill and St. Georges Rd. Bolton. Before a major interior re-structure.
The only other Bolton Church that may have had the “recess form” was the Union Church located at the top of Bank Street next to Preston’s Jewellers.
