Councillor Ellis Clarke films a propaganda film for the Labour party in Victoria Square. The film which was called ‘Our Bolton’ has since been lost.

Ellis Clarke was a regular visitor to my grandads house, Bob Harwood snr. who lived at 127 Davenport st, He had a fruit and fish shop.He trained Ellis Clarkes greyhounds. Ellis Clarkes twin sons had the Smithills coaching house
